January 2019 International Potluck event

The January 2019 International Potluck featured Pastor Mytch Pierre-Noel Dorvilier, who cooked a special Haitian soup and shared how a soup can be revolutionary and rebellious.

Also, artists who had work in the Plains Art Museum's exhibit "Place at the Table" talked about the exhibition. The exhibit used the table as a metaphor for welcoming, inclusion and as a place of honest conversation. According to the Plains Art Museum, the project aimed to distill the notion that changes start at the table and permeate outwards. This exhibition and its surrounding programming sought to highlight the importance of domestic settings to start conversations, particularly on social and international issues.
